Roscoes

Tuesday - August 14, 2001 I was moving from Anaheim back to San Diego this Wednesday so most of my friends up in the Los Angeles area wanted to give me some type of go away party. They knew I haven't ever been to Roscoes but heard of it so we all met up at the Hollywood one so I could finally meet the waffle of my dreams. When entering, I thought whoa! This place is so well known in Hollywood but it's so small. How do they fit everyone in here! I realized later that there's some other L.A. branches as well. I actually first heard about Roscoes last May 2001 when I was at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. I met this lady through my buddy Carter Lipscomb that week. One of the nights I was hanging out with them all she wanted to go to Roscoes really really bad. I found out later on that she was the wife of the creator of the Quantum Leap show. Her whole face kept lighting up when she kept talking about it. Carter wanted to go to the House of Blues so he could meet up with more game developer friends so we ended up not going to Roscoes for dinner. :)     As soon as the plate was placed in front of Gloucester and I, he made this deep sigh and admired it for a while. hehehe. He can make some of the cutest expressions sometimes. We decided early that night that we'd share a plate since I was sort of concerned it was going to taste gross. He said he had a late lunch so it was perfect for us both that night. While I tried my first bite I saw Torak glancing over at me like he was going to say something. I looked over at Gloucester because we were on an interesting topic and looked back at Torak, he was occupied again. Later on I asked him when we were outside getting ready to leave if he wanted to ask me something. He said, "OH! Yes, I did! I wanted to know if you liked the food but since you were eating it so fast I figured you did."   Then he shined a mischievous grin at me.  I kept whining for days on how gross it sounded and if I vomited that night he'd be the cause of it.
