CALIGIRL'S COMMENT
I originally met Megahertz as Exlax-Mhz through Footmaster, which was also in the Exlax Clan on Mplayer. Footmaster is the guy who actually made me so curious on what the big deal was about Quake since he left the Command and Conquer game to play it.Megahertz is the guy who taught me the maps in Quake DM once I got to know him. I will never forget his patience and extra time he spent helping me like he did.
He was known as the singer in the group of people I hung out with. We'd all stay up pretty late, in a room on Mplayer as people would play their favorite music. Sometimes Megahertz would sing with his favorite country song. But, he would only sing to everyone if I promised him I would sing a song or two first, which I did to have the chance to hear him sing. The really funny thing, the person who started the whole singing deal was Exlax-Ultra. He sang a song to me one day and it was so incredibly sweet, I actually think he was drunk now that I think about it. After that, the whole thing of singing on Mplayer.com was a huge thing everyone did in the Quake rooms. Other people who hung out with the Exlax clanmates were Ledbetter, Bitter, Peace, WindeX and Tensor.
As time went by, Megahertz moved from Tennessee to Northern California. I did finally meet Megahertz in real life at the PGL Finals in 1998. After talking to him on the phone many times, listening to him on microphone in the past and chatting with him off and on for almost 2 years at the time, it was a pleasure to finally meet him. He's a great guy and still has tiny cute country accent.
