Kai was known as Thrust back in the Quake I days. He later on changed it a few times. I met Kai one day while hanging out on a South African IRC under #quake. He was a very fun guy to talk to and was delighted that I didn't mind to play him Quake on a SA serve, even if I would end up with a ping over 450. He and I became really good chums. We finally met about a year later in person when he was visiting California. He brought me some really cool gifts, SA candy, SA calendar and SA billatong (I think that's the way you spell it). The Billatong was like a beef jerky but it wasn't too chewy where you feel like your teeth are going to be pulled out. *snicker*   He promised me it was beef and not ostrich. ;)  Who knows, but it was some interesting stuff.  After taking a tour through out USA, Kai now resides in Australia.
