December 28, 2001 
I quit my job today. Not a good thing to do right now for me but I had to.  Right now it's a touchy situation so it's one of those things where it's best not to be said. Time is the only way to get that out of my head. hehe. Well... next Wednesday I am going to be job hunting so beware if I am a little irritable until I get one. 

December 25, 2001 
I watched the Lord of the Rings movie opening night (Last Wednesday) with some friends of mine, then just yesterday I had to see it again with another set of friends who didn't see it yet. There's so many great things I have to say about this movie so I'll leave it to you all to go see it yourself. Each time I rave about it to my friends they get so frustrated because they want to see it so bad. :/  So to my point, it seems like Orlando Bloom, the British Actor who plays as Legolos is getting tons of attention from all of the female readers over at Alloy.com. So much attention that there's almost 1,000 posts about him there. Of course the topic is, if he's the NEXT CRUSH. I have to admit, I simply fell for this guy in the Lord of the Rings movie. One thing that blew me away was the premiere pictures at yahoo.com showing he really has brown hair. I think I like him with his hair blonde.

December 22, 2001 
I was talking to my buddy Iggy last night concerning Lord of the Rings, just raving about it because that movie was one of the best I have seen in a long time. He and I started talking about other movies when Kate & Leopold came up. I thought the movie came out this weekend but it's going to be out next week instead on Christmas Day (yes on Tuesday a lot of movies are coming out). He was talking about how the movie had some incest in it, so they had to do some trimming on it. I just now ran into some news at Sci-Fi.com about it. Man, that guy knows all. :)  Check out this negative review at BoxOffice.com.  Speaking of Lord of the Rings earlier, there's news about some more changes for the movie at Comingsoon.net. 

December 14, 2001 
I finally got my truck back today. It looks gorgeous. *sigh* When I first drove up I kept looking at it... like you would a puppy or long lost companion. Then they went over to wash it and wax it. I kept telling them the color looked different to one of the guys. Then one of the girls walked up to me and said, "Jody, your car was very dirty because you couldn't wash it that whole time you had the window broke. Of course it's going to look like another color, it's shiny from being waxed!"   hee!

You should have seen the pain I had trying to drive around this rental car. It was a Kia car. It seemed like whenever I would drive on the freeway every time a LITTLE car or van would drive by my car would move around as if there was a tornado or something. I never thought I would miss my truck as much as I did when it was in the body shop those two weeks. The only problem is the $500 deductible. I am going to be pinching pennies for the next month.

I can't believe it's already December. It seems like December 2000 was just here. :/

I heard a preview of Jewel's song called Standing Still on the radio a few months ago but I have been hearing it even more lately even on TV. Someone sent me her cute video a few weeks ago so I thought I'd share a link to it.  The beginning of the song has a little county sound to it, don't you think? 

As for the games I have been hearing about lately, AVP2 has been the buzz. The talk is that it's going to blow your socks off... and that it's much much more scary than the original Aliens vs Predator game. Sounds interesting to me. :D  I should scavenger around the net for the demo this afternoon.
