Since my original
logo had too much of a summer look, I decided to make a new logo
to celebrate this Holiday Season. I also changed the links and
headline colors of the fonts to settle down the tone to have a
snow feeling to it. Didn't you feel that chili breeze pass by
when you opened up the website? hehe! j/k ;) Oh that
reminds me, I also FINALLY updated the left bar where Methos'
Interview has been. This area should be updated more
frequently! I replaced it with a mini logo image to the new
Female Gamers Alive section. The screenshot is originally from a
chiQ skin for Slash (Quake III
Arena Female Model).
The past week here in San
Diego has been so cold. I haven't been in a super happy mood
from it. I have been wearing three sweaters and a heavy jacket
at work. I work near the water so it's just super cold. I don't
even recall Palo Alto (northern California) being that cold last
year. :(
Where I sleep at night
the cold crawls in by the time I get home from work. I normally
can handle it though. However, last night it was like 3 times
colder so I had to go sleep near the heater. I also don't want
to come down with the flu or anything, ya know? ;)
As for my truck
situation... I found out just yesterday that the driver was from
Mexico (no wonder why he couldn't speak English very well).
Reading the highway patrol report, he also didn't have any
insurance. What does this mean about all of us three (3) cars
who didn't DO ANYTHING wrong that day but get pushed into each
other? Dunno yet. I'll know most likely once my insurance
company gets back with me. The nice thing about them is how they
said they were going to everything they could to fight and get
the money somehow. I don't want to have to end up paying for
almost 3,000 worth of damage. In fact, I don't want to pay
ANYTHING. It wasn't my fault, I shouldn't have to pay for some
else. :( So the insurance company did say they had ways of
getting that money back and they planned to use them. Ruh roh....
;)
Last night my friend
and I ended up getting lost in Santee (South East San Diego
area). I knew EXACTLY where I
was but we got lost trying to find our friend's house we were
going to. It ended up being a wild goose chase so we finally
went to my brother's place to ask him where they were
meeting.
I found out from my
brother that we had some OLD address. I was driving my
friend crazy because she was originally hungry before we left
and us getting lost made her even more hungry so I felt bad and
went through my brother's refrigerator while he was printing out
the directions. He had nothing! Not even bread so I looked
around his living room and noticed some miniature bell shaped
butterfingers.
I literally ran to the
car, she saw me in the distance and started goofing off, honking
the horn at me. Then I jumped into the car (rental car.. argh..
I hate cars! I miss my truck) and I give her the 4-5 little Butterfinger
candies. That helped a little. Most of you guys know how us
girls get when we haven't ate anything that day. One word to
describe it is CRANKY.
There was another funny
thing that happened last night. We left our friend's house and I
took her to Burger King to get her something to eat. We went
through the drive thru because it was after 10pm. I had the
giggles out of no where... and we started this little play argument...
then I started laughing again. The guy is trying to take our
order and I am trying to talk right so I ask her to order
because I can't.
She says in a giggly yet
crackly voice, "can you wait just a minute?"
Finally I snap out of it
and order a strawberry shake and a whopper junior
with NO SAUCE as she requested. Then I couldn't help but add in
(without her consent).. extra onions. She
slapped me in the arm and grinned.
I told her, "April, it's not like
you're going anywhere else tonight! I wouldn't have done it if
we were going any where else right now. I just had to ask for
extra onions," laughing hysterically.
She laughs then comments,
"yeah, I know.. I'll take the ones I don't want
out." Then she started picking through her hamburger
while I was driving. It was LOADED with sauce. Come to find out
what we ordered wasn't done. That is pretty typical for a fast food chain to
just grab it off the pre-made ones and stuff it in the bag
without doing what the customer requested. :/

Last night was an
interesting night. I finally got home at almost 1am. I ended up
going to a PRE-Christmas party at around 3pm. My best friend and
I ended up watching The Christmas Story about the kid who wanted
a Red Robin Bee Bee Gun. That how you spell it? We played Brazilian
UNO once that movie was over.
By 5:30 some of us took off
from the crowd
to go see this Potter's
Field Ministry show. It was simply amazing. I haven't been
so interested in such terms he talked about in ages. Afterwards
we went back to the place we were before. We ended up watching
Touched by an Angel and by the time it was around 10:15, they
put on the Grinch movie so that kept us stuck there until early
morn. :/

I hope you all had a
nice day today. I was invited to go to a football tag at 9am in
the morning by some of my friends but couldn't go because the
turkey dinner with my brother's fiance was early. I was
pretty tired from staying out late, teaching my friend to make a
website but I did set my alarm to wake me up at 8am to call him
to say I couldn't make it. I kept clicking SNOOZE that morning
from being so tired. I am so glad he called at around 8:50 to
make sure I was going so I could tell him I couldn't.
Didn't do too much but desire to
sleep today. Trying
to fight that from eating turkey was a hassle. I ate around 1
pm. Then by 2pm I got through it with time and yawning.
Then I took a 20 minute nap around 5pm and woke up pretty hungry
but very awake. I made myself a small turkey sandwich and
pretty much felt satisfied until an hour later!? :( Then I
was sleepy again. I had this talk with Milla about it. She kept
laughing at me from whining so much the second time around. I
told her I might have just needed to get to sleep early since I
had a long day with my brother's future relatives. hehe :)
Then I told her how I eat the processed turkey from time to time
even at work and never get THIS tired. That just shows how much
PROCESSED that turkey is I guess. lol ;)
Any ways, I did have a nice time with my brother's fiancé's family this
Thanksgiving. My mom even came so it was really nice. The only thing, I missed my mom's awesome
stuffing. She always has olives in it so that was missing.
What
was pretty cool was how my brother's fiancé made a dirt cake.
It was in a pot with fake flowers sticking out. At first when
she placed it on the table I had to look at it a few times.
Later after we let our stomach's relax from the huge turkey
meal, she dished everyone out a bowl. Man, this was THE best
thing I have had in years. It had VERY fine Oreo crumbs from my
brother grinding them so it was also powdery. Then there was the
creamy pudding. I asked her what it was because I haven't ever
tasted something so creamy. She said it was vanilla pudding,
cream cheese and cool whip. Her grandma took a picture so
maybe I'll ask them if I can scan the pics when they are
developed. ;)
Any ways, Happy
Thanksgiving everyone!

Tonight I went with my best friend to get some coffee, then we
to her church. Afterwards, I went to her place to teach her some
html stuff. She wants to create her own website so I spent a
couple of hours showing her some thing. Next, I need to teach
her how to use Adobe Photoshop. :)

This month has went by too fast. I still haven't had any changes
on my truck yet. Yes, I have been driving it to work and back
since I had the accident. It hasn't been too much fun. :( Right
now I am waiting on the Highway Patrol officer to write up the
whole collision so I can prove that it wasn't my fault in the
accident. This meaning, I can't get my rental car so I can drive
back and forth to work. My insurance doesn't cover rental car
for some reason.

Guess what? I am so ticked off. I woke up this morning and my
truck's clear plastic was torn down. I walked out there thinking
maybe the wind blew it but how could it be SOOO torn across, ya
know?
As I walked up my heart
started racing. Then I looked through my window and saw my car
stereo still there. I realized the night before after I got back
from hanging out with my friends late that night I didn't take
off the stereo face. :( So my stereo was still there! I
thought to myself, hey.. I am just overreacting... no one
crawled in through the window. Then I noticed my glove
department was open and my side arm rest where my CD's are were
open too! :( My heart was pounding so hard I could hear it
in my ears.
Finally I went to the
other side of the door and noticed the door was unlocked and
wasn't closed all the way. Argh! I looked around to see what
they were looking for. I noticed my blush was on the ground. I
recalled that being my ONLY item in my make-up purse. It was a
make-up purse I grabbed from storage few days before and I was
going to bring it in to use.
So, this person took an
EMPTY black make-up purse? Then they took my check card that was
in my drink holder area. That thing is about 5 years old of not
being used. I found it on the floor at the storage I had and
never had the chance to cut it with scissors. I guess I don't
have to now.
That was the only two
things that was taken from my car. Very odd, don't you think?
The strange thing about this all, this person didn't ever try to
do anything to my car until I bashed out the edged glass in my
car. I did this Saturday around noon. I think they knew it
could have cut them if they tried climbing in before hand. They
must have been watching and waiting for it.
I should have just kept
the edge glass up there to cut anyone from trying to crawl in? I
guess the term of my old friend Mirl is right. "Locks are
to keep honest people honest." With the window being
bashed in, it wasn't locked in general. There was practically an
open door for them to SEE if I had money or something else they
desired.

I finally got my Palm Pilot VIIx working. My brother gave me his
older one last February but I was waiting on him to give me the
software to install on my computer. Finally after ten months go
by he gave me this url to download. Now if he did that months
ago I would have been a happy girl but I guess I wouldn't have
been so infatuated with the Palm as I am at the moment, right?
;) Any ways, I logged in lots of important dates for this
year. Hmm, that reminds me, I need to add holidays yet. Oops!
Can't forget those. Oh, as for my truck situation... I didn't
give you all an update on what happened. You can check out the
info in my photo album
along with some pictures. By the way, Happy Birthday to my
brother, DarkViper!

Ok, well I should have had the headline as Shattered
by ... huh? So much has been going on behind scenes
as of late. I ended up getting in a car accident this Monday. I
have to get up at 5 AM tomorrow morning so I'll keep this short as
possible. More talk here means less time sleeping right now.
teehee! I'll
post the details in the next day or so in my photo album so keep
an eye out for it. I have to get up early to take pictures so I
have proof for the insurance company. I haven't had a chance to
vacuum the glass that shattered on my truck back window yet.
