Question 1: With fireworks bursting near where you live, do you normally drive to your favorite location to view them or do you change your scenery each year?

[Wemmick]: Yes. 2 years ago: Waikiki. Last year: South Beach Miami. This year: Here in San Francisco.

[AstroCreep]: We pretty much change the scenery every year. Last year we went to a local park to watch a show and fireworks, this year we will be camping in the Poconos over the holiday (I hope nobody gets any stupid ideas and lights the woods on fire).

[Cache]: We usually change the scenery each year. One year we're down in Laguna and the next we're at Cerritos College or Dominguez hills watching the fireworks. A few years we just stay at home and light them on our street.

[Aurora]: But.... I'm Canadian so I don't celebrate the 4th of July. I do however take part in Canada day festivities; July 1st is Canada Day. Tomorrow I'll start by cruising in the local parade with my son and my father in his beautiful 1950 Chevrolet Sedan. We'll stop at the fair afterwards munch on cotton candy and return home after "playing". The early evening will bring about a family clam bake - followed (of course) by fireworks that night.

[Sluggo]: When I lived in New York City, my plans would normally change every year. It was rare that I'd do the same thing more than once, although we'd often wind up seeing the same fireworks from a different vantage point.

Living in southern California for the past three years has been pretty much the same -- a different spot every year. My favorite, however, was when I moved out west in 1999 -- I drove cross country over the 4th of July weekend, and stopped in Flagstaff (near the Grand Canyon) on the 4th. Very cool.

[Aristotle]: I like to mix it up every year. This year I'm headed to Mystic, CT to view them bursting over the water which should be fun. Every year, however, we try to visit a different location.

[Sujoy]: I've never seen any near where I live on the 4th of July. I think a candlelight vigil is more likely from us limeys to commemorate American independence.

Question 2: Are you the adventurous type to sit on the roof of a house to see the fireworks or do you like have them so close above you that they hurt your ears?

[Wemmick]: It isn't fun unless your ears bleed.

[AstroCreep]: I like to be as close as I can to get the best view and feel it at the same time.

[Cache]: I like to be in the middle of the action, so I'd have to say that I'm the type that would have them so close to me that they burned my hands and hurt my ears.

[Aurora]: The campgrounds here are full of tents and campers proudly bearing the Canadian flag - but nothing beats the Harley Davidson I saw today - proudly flying a US flag (full size on a post attached to the backrest). :)

[Sluggo]: I can't say I've ever had to climb up on a roof to get a good view of the fireworks, but I'm sure I would if necessary. I know I don't want to get anywhere close enough to hurt my ears. :)

[Aristotle]: If I had my way, I'd be the one with the matches setting the suckers off. The closer the better.

[Sujoy]: The last time I sat on my roof the neighbors called the police.

Question 3: When I think about 4rth of July growing up, it was always about root beer floats. Is there a favorite food or drink you most desire mainly during fourth of July?

[Wemmick]:  Corned beef, tea and crumpets.

[AstroCreep]: No certain food or drink comes to mind...but do "bottle rocket" and "roman candle" fights count?

[Cache]: Root beer floats are my favorite as well. It's amazing how much we have in common =)

[Aurora]: I'm a proud Canadian, and therefore I take part in July 1st celebrations.

[Sluggo]: For me, the 4th of July is all about the BBQ. Give me a few hamburgers and I'm all set!

[Aristotle]: The 4th always translates into a big-time cookout for our family and friends. That means there's dogs and burgers on the way. I generally end up doing the grilling as well... but if you hand me a cold Heineken, I'm a happy camper.

Question 4:  Is there anything you'd like say about the website(s) you work on while I'm at it (finishing off this interview)?

[Wemmick]:  Gamers.com - not your father's gaming website.

[AstroCreep]: Right now Map-Center is going through a transition phase, going from one main site and branching off into smaller sites for the upcoming games we'll be covering. Hopefully in the next few months Map-Center will be in good shape and running smoothly.

[Cache]: Well, if you're into esports and love watching demos and mingling with the "cyberathletes" with sharp reflex, please visit cached.net!

[Aristotle]: Anything to say about the LFNetwork? Well, we have a great group of folks over there and a tremendous community. In my humble opinion our online community with sites like jediknightii.net, jediknight.net, mixnmojo.com, and swgalaxies.net (just to name a few) is at the top of its game right now. I think our readers are as loyal as they come. We're just glad to be a part of it.

[Sujoy]: Mainly what I want is for them to stop showing that Tom Cruise film. Why, god, why?!
