[CaliGirl]: What gave you the idea to start a new female gaming clan?

[Adrastea]: Well, LQMS had split up but Peach, Suzi and I weren't ready to call it a day after so many years and all we'd been through so we decided to stay together the best way we knew how, in a clan. :)

[CaliGirl]: If a female gamer wanted to join your clan, what type of initiation would she have to go through?

[Adrastea]:  Recruitment is by invite only, but if a girl really would like to join our clan feel free to let the recruiter (Peach) know and hang out with us in IRC (irc.enterthegame.com #pYm) so we can get to know you. We are looking for ladies that will better our clan and have a good sense of fun while gaming. Recruitment last a minimum of 2 weeks but can be longer depending on each person situations. All clan members will have a vote on all new recruits and new members.

[CaliGirl] Can you list any all female clans that you know of that still exist?

[Adrastea] That still exist? Of course QGirlz, really the only one I'm aware of, but I'm not completely knowledgeable about others. Peach is the best to ask for that, she knows everyone. :)

[CaliGirl]: While you lived in Illinois you had the chance to know most of the Rhomicide (rH) clan in person. Is there any memories you'd like to share about this experience?

[Adrastea]  Haha, any fit for public telling you mean? :) Well, they eat a lot, smoke a lot and drink a lot. I had a great time. The rH guys are the best!

[CaliGirl]: Many clans have a type of ranking system that titles you as something. In the Xtreme Prejudice (XP) clan, the leaders are Magistrates, while the clanmates are executioners. Hyperdeath (HYD), an old school Quake TF clan, the leader was a Grand Tribune and the entry level was Centurion. Does PyroMaidens plan on making a ranking system sometime in the future? or does it already have one?

[Adrastea]:  Currently, no. We're ladies that like to hang out and play games together and that suits each of us just fine. :)

[CaliGirl]: You have hung out in the IRC channel with the Xtreme Prejudice clan for years now. Is there anything that stands out good or bad about the clan?

[Adrastea]:  Those guys know how to have fun while keeping most people happy at the same time. Every XP member (old and current!) I've met have been honestly fantastic and not a mean bone in their bodies. :) The fun that is had in their channel and with those people, you just will not find it anywhere else, hard to pick a single one good thing and definitely nothing bad. An all-round great clan who play fair and treat everyone respectfully. Love XP!

[CaliGirl]: How did you come up with your nick name, adrastea?

[Adrastea]:  I was really bored one night so I started browsing thru an encyclopedia and came upon the planets section. There was this name, as one of Jupiter's moons (adrastea was Jupiter's step sister). I liked the name so I used it.

[CaliGirl]: You've lived in USA before. Do you plan on moving back again someday? If so, which state would you desire to live in?

[Adrastea] I honestly loved it when I lived in Chicago and I would love to go back. As for moving like before again, I seriously doubt it but who knows what lies ahead.

[CaliGirl]: The past few months since I moved to Houston (Texas), I have learned a lot of new recipes. Is there any Irish/Celtic food you know how to make besides beer? :Þ

[Adrastea] Shepard's pie! hehe. Just ask rH-Stayne... although maybe he only lied about liking it to save face. ;)

[CaliGirl]: When you lived in Illinois, were there any types of food (international places included) that you felt were weird at first but you gradually got used to them?

[Adrastea]: No not really. There was an Italian restaurant I visited and although the bathroom was a bit....strange, I was only there once. Other than that, everything was fine!

[CaliGirl]: Was there anything that seemed like a drastic change when you first came to lived in U.S.A.? Things like the street signs, or buildings that caught you off guard? or is Ireland a lot like some areas out in America?

[Adrastea]: Street signs! Lol. I could not and still can't get used to your street signs. Where your street signs on the road going horizontal indicate the street you turn left or right onto, ours indicate the one you're currently on. If anyone ever meets me in the USA, never ask me for directions :)

You Americans drive everywhere! There was a mall down the street slightly from our apartment block that numerous people drove to, I could never understand that. Got a few strange looks walking to the store up the street or to the restaurant across the road :) Plus you guys spell everything wrong, it's coloUr!

[CaliGirl]: I was once told by a good buddy of mind, Desmoden, that one reason why he wanted to move out to Ireland was because there wouldn't be any snakes. Is this true? Or are there other reptiles that exist?

[Adrastea]:  Uhh. I try to keep as far away as possible from anything reptilian, but I do know the only place you'd find a snake here is in a zoo. I'll be at the pandas, come find me when you're through looking. :)

[CaliGirl]: Me still being a California Girl at heart, have you ever visited the state?

[Adrastea]: Yes! Last April I spent 8 days in the San Francisco/San Jose area with my better half and it looked so much like it does in the movies! I'm a pure tourist. lol. The streets on the hill really freaked me out :)

[CaliGirl]: Have you ever been to any theme parks in US?

[Adrastea]: I visited Disneyworld with my family a good few years ago. Enjoyed it but I was young and stuck to my parents side so I'd love to go back... un-chaperoned. ;)

[CaliGirl]: Doom III has been a buzz of the internet since it was first announced. People know that id Software normally makes some awesome games. Do you think you'll be able to get into this game from what you have seen so far while the game has been in development?

[Adrastea]: Honestly, I won't be trying. I never was any good at those bloody FPS games. RPG's are where you'll find me now.

[CaliGirl]: Your clan seems to focus on Quake related games still. Do you compete in matches against other clans who challenge you or is it just for fun at the moment?

[Adrastea]:  Just some fun, for the moment. Once we recruit further we'll be playing FPS games more frequently, then competitively.

[CaliGirl]: With forums like Quake3world being so crowded with people always talking in it, is there any forums you visit frequently?

[Adrastea]:  Our own clan forum. :)  Be careful, we come up with the silliest polls. The IGN Boards for DAoC Developer's Board and My class (Cleric) Board are also checked in on a couple of times a day.

[CaliGirl]:  If you had all of this money given to you but you could ONLY start your own business, what type of company would it be?

[Adrastea]:  I honestly don't know. I once thought of creating a webpage for selling Irish goods worldwide (ambitious I know:)) and managing it with the help of a few close friends who were also interested in the idea. Unfortunately, I never followed through with it.
