Lambadomy Interview:
Q3W Team

Nick Name: Lambadomy
Real Name:
Mike Northover

Questions 1: What do you enjoy most about the Holidays?

Answer: Well, if I had a job I'd say the time off, but obviously thats not a consideration for me so I'll have to say that its the presents.  With no income it's hard to buy nice stuff, or even halfway decent stuff, so the holidays are my only time to, say, make out like a bandit.

Questions 2: What are the games you have enjoyed since you stopped playing Quake 1?

Answer: As for games I've enjoyed, the only multiplayer game I've put any time into is Age of Empires:2.  The first person shooters that have come out just haven't done anything for me.  Quake was a huge step forward in first person gaming, being truly three dimensional, that you couldn't help but be blown away.  Nowadays, everything is a clone.

Questions 3: In what way do you feel the Quake community has changed since Quake III Arena came out last year?

Answer: It got younger.  And richer.  Thats about it.  Don't confuse any of the words I used with "better".

Questions 4: Have you had a chance to check the Team Arena Demo yet? If so, what do you enjoy the most about it?

Answer: It looks pretty.   Whoopty friggan doo.

Questions 5: With id Software's new project being focused on Doom, is there any features you would like this upcoming game to include?

Answer: I think it would be really amazing if id introduced a weapon that hadn't been in one of its previous games, and didn't call it the BFG.  That's a feature I'd love to see, but I won't hold my breath.

Questions 6:  What gamer besides yourself do you feel comes to mind as one of the most respected gamers? This would be someone who you felt is respected not only for his gaming skills but for his/her attitude.

Answer: I would say K9-Gloucester. Even though he's a q2 spank, he was cool enough to like the Growing Pains movie when we watched it at my place, and everyone can respect that, if they know what'd good for them.

  • Cali Girl: No matter how hard I try, Mike is a really cool guy at heart. He's picky about his games, gets to the point on them and well, practically everyone in the Quake 1 community has known this guy for years.
