[Cali]:
If you had a lot of
money just for an entertainment trip, where would you take your Valentine
to?
[Aristotle]:
If I had a sack of gold to
toss over my shoulder for a cozy little Valentine's trip, I would likely
head on over to Europe, specifically towards the French Riviera. A few
years ago in college I had the opportunity to travel throughout Europe and
that's a spot that sticks in my mind as being quite romantic. You'll find
fascinating little ancient villages all along that coast and wonderful
little Inns where you can enjoy plenty of wining and dining. On the way back
to the states, I'd suggest a stop in Switzerland. Nothing beats nestling up
next to a roaring fire from within a Swiss chalet hidden deep atop the
Mountains.
[BrianK]:
Florence, Italy. A nice warm city, with lots of young folks hanging
around (or zipping by on Vespas.) Great public art, and incredible
museums. And a wonderful old fort up on the hillside for hiking up to
watch the sunset from. And gelato.
[CliffyB]: I'd love to go diving somewhere in the Keys with my
Fiancιe'... she's certified to dive and I'm not, but we were able to go in
Hawaii a few years ago and it was just about the most amazing thing I've
ever done. If you haven't done it, go!
[Darkviper]:
If I was married, for a cruise line. With a girlfriend, probably to a good
movie (not action packed).
[Ghandi]:
Defiantly Paris. Saw it a couple weeks ago and it is truly a beautiful
city.
[Knife]: I'd have to say some secluded chateau along the Mediterranean,
maybe southern France. I've always wanted to travel to Europe and what
area could possibly be more romantic? Plus there would be so much
culture and history to the place, as opposed to a some commercialized resort
beach.
[Lambadomy]:
Las Vegas man. My
Valentine loves the place, but we can't afford to see cirque du soleil there
cause it's approximately one million dollars a ticket. Plus where
else can you collect strip club advertisements while drinking and
gambling? It's the perfect place.
[Redwood]:
I
would take her to the Caribbean so she could get out of the miserable cold
and have fun in the warm sun. I know she would enjoy that and so would
I.
[TheShadow]: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
[Wanker]: One
of 2 places. Greece or Ireland. Greece because it's the most
romantic place on earth, and Ireland because staying in one of the castles
and horse back riding in the mornings would be awesome. =)
[Wemmick]:
The Greek Islands. I hear
they're very beautiful, and I think it's warmer there than it is
here.
[Wicked]: Probably Casper, Wyoming. Everyone knows that Casper is like
the hippest place around! No, seriously, I'd LOVE to get away to some
relatively secluded island in the Bahamas. I say relatively as I think
being totally secluded would suck, as I'm really accident prone, and, after
stepping on a Jelly fish or something, would need medical assistance.

[Cali]:
If a guy you really
cared about had a lot of money to spend on you on an entertainment trip,
where would you want him to take you?
[Ivy
Girl]: I would want to go on
a cruise somewhere tropical. but..... I am a firm believer in that its about
the little things you do and not money.
[Killcreek]:
There are so many places I want to go!! I've never been out of the country,
so I would most likely want to go somewhere far away. I would love to go to
a beach somewhere .. like Cancun. However, I think my current top choice
would be to go on a tour of castles all over Europe. Even though it would be
nice to be taken care of financially, I'm sure I would do my best to pay my
half whenever possible. I am fiercely independent, and I just don't feel
right having people buy things for me.
[Lockup]:
Away from the chaos! I would prefer a remote tropical island where there is
only peace and tranquility, lots of heat, good food, and a beautiful sunset
every night. Maybe a fishing pole. :)

[Cali]:
On your trip,
would you take your computer and/or games with you?
[Aristotle]:
LOL! Not a chance! The last
thing I would have on my mind on such a trip would be the network.
Don't get me wrong... the network is obviously very important... but we have
a top-notch staff (including Cali the wonder girl) heading up our news
division, so things would no doubt be left in good hands. I wouldn't need a
computer for the type of "games" I'd be enjoying with my Valentine.
=)
[BrianK]:
Uhhh...maybe a GameBoy- just for the airplane! :-) But, something you
could link together might work even better. A pair of Dreamcast VMS
controllers?
[CliffyB]: Hell no. Darcy would have my salty chocolate balls for
a snack.
[Darkviper]:
No! Of course not! They have arcades at theatres you know. :)
(J/K)
[Ghandi]:
Absolutely not.
[Ivy
Girl]: No, I would maybe
bring the laptop depending how long we would be gone for just to check my
mail but no games because this would be a time for us to be together and to
enjoy each other.
[Killcreek]:
Absolutely. I'm a hardcore gamer, so I would need to bring whatever I was
playing at the time. I would probably end up lugging along a color gameboy,
a small TV, an N64, and a laptop with tons of games.
[Knife]: I can't imagine traveling anywhere without at least a laptop
for email and web access. But that's all. Games would be out of
the question. No time for that while we're hitting the
beaches.
[Lambadomy]:
Heck no. I have enough
trouble getting away with using my computer when she's in the room, much
less when we're on a trip. I value my life.
[Lockup]: If
I did, the chaos would only continue...
[Redwood]:
No way, I can live without my computer for a while. It might be tougher
to convince her to leave the computer, but she'd probably leave it as well.
:)
[TheShadow]:
Just this once, because of the nature of the occasion and the need for focus
on someone else, no. Sob, no not one, sniff. lol.
[Wanker]: Probably not, unless my Valentine wanted too. But, more than
likely we'd be too busy kissing and site seeing to play video
games.
[Wemmick]:
Nope.
[Wicked]: I think my wife would castrate me (with that same Jelly fish, that I
just mentioned; I'm not sure how, but she would find a way) if I even
mentioned a computer on the trip.

[Cali]:
For all of the
readers who don't have a girlfriend or boyfriend, what kind of advice would
you have for them on finding the right one?
[Aristotle]: Hmm.. tough question. On the serious side, don't ever rush into
things or fall into long relationships at a young age. Live... experience a
variety of people since you really don't know what the world has to offer
unless you browse the catalogue. That doesn't mean sleep around... it means
date until you know what it is you're really truly looking for. As hard as
it is, try to avoid the "I wish I had lived life" pot-hole which I
occasionally hear from some of my older friends.
On a lighter side... for those
singles out there looking for a quick fix... head on down to the local
tavern, pull a chair up to the bar, and keep asking for shots of "red death"... and keep them coming. After an hour or two... just about any woman in
the bar will likely look attractive... and you should have increased
your odds as well as your selection.
[BrianK]:
Well, what has always worked best for me, is forgetting that you're looking,
and just have fun. Not always an easy thing to accomplish. (Hmm,
and maybe why I'm single now.)
[CliffyB]: Stay out of the gaming business! Heh, seriously, I
wouldn't be with Darcy right now if she hadn't come up to me one day and
given me her phone number. Guess I had my groove on that day.
[Darkviper]:
Well, I'd love to give them advice, but I don't have a girlfriend. My best
advise is to not rush into anything, especially if it isn't going to last
for more than a few months because you "rushed" into it. It's like driving
75 miles per hour in the fog, and you don't know what's ahead because you
went too fast.., get to know the person as a friend before hand.. this will
save you from having a lot of problems.
[Ghandi]:
Well for me it was never a matter of finding the right one. I think we all
know who we want to be with. It's just a matter of letting that someone
know. If you like him/her let em know. You'll never get what you want if you
don't.
[Ivy
Girl]: My friend Greblaja
told me if you want to find someone to not look for them if that makes
sense. He said that when he is looking for something he never seems to find
it but when he focuses on something else it always surfaces and he told me
the same can be with finding a boyfriend.
[Killcreek]:
Well, I am probably the wrong person to ask.. because I don't have one right
now either. ;) What I would recommend is not to settle. Never settle for
less than what you want, or you will end up unhappy! Keep an open mind, and
treat your significant other with respect. Most of all, be honest about your
wants and needs. I truly believe that the right one will come along when the
time is right, if you are just patient. :)
[Knife]: Make
friends, at work, at school, whatever - get to know people and be well
liked. This means being yourself and being respected. If you're
well liked among your friends, co-workers, etc., other people, (i.e. women)
will notice you. Ok, I sound like a guidance counselor here, sorry, but it's
all I could think of.
[Lambadomy]:
Shower. Shave.
Buy new clothes. Use deodorant. I know this all seems pretty
rudimentary, but I have met your readers, and they need to do this before
they can even think of taking further steps. Or they can learn to
settle for a significant other just as dirty, stinky, unkempt and unshaven
as them.
Helpful hint: Once you have them, you can
revert back to your old ways!
[Lockup]:
Stop looking and let it happen. Never assume you can change
someone.
[Redwood]:
I
wouldn't go looking for them in bars or sex chat rooms on the internet.
Occasionally I'm sure people find winners that way but not often.
Also, don't settle for somebody that is just "okay" or treats you badly for
a while just to be in a relationship. Life is too short to do that and
I think most people deserve better.
[TheShadow]:
Classified Ads. Joking, lol. I would suggest simply paying attention to
those you are interested in, and being more interested in learning about
them than blowing your own horn. Outgoing concern and friendship never
harmed.
[Wanker]: Well, I fall into that category. (d'oh) So I'd be giving
myself advice, and look how far that's gotten me. *laugh*
[Wemmick]: Do
I still get to answer this question if I'm single? :) From my
experience, just be very honest with yourself about what you are looking
for. If you think you're in it on a whim, get out. If you think
they are in it on a whim, get out. Always try to move slowly in the
beginning - it'll pay off later. Qualities that bug you initially are
likely to bug you even more a year down the road.
[Wicked]: Get the hell out of the house. They really shouldn't even be
reading this. You can use my brother, Sweet Dick Willy (don't let the
name fool ya), as the type of person that people will meet on the net.
He's a classic example of why you shouldn't hook up with people that you
meet on the net!

[Cali]:
What type of
personality and looks are you looking for in someone?
[Aristotle]:
Gotta love a classy woman.
Class is key. I don't have a certain "look" I go for... There's either
chemistry or there's not. Personality wise... she's got be spontaneous,
funny, love to travel.. and love to live life in general. (No female
lawyers... mixing lawyers together is like trying to mix oil with
water)
[BrianK]:
Someone fun, social, who can hold their own at a party. Someone self
confident enough to know what they want. Brunettes from California
beach towns (oops :-)
[CliffyB]: I am always looking for understanding of my priorities
with my career.
[Darkviper]:
Hmm, that's a good question. I never quite thought of that, well someone who
isn't stuck on herself, someone who will accept me as I am and not always be
complaining about this or that. Someone who likes to play computer or video
games! I especially hate it when I see a girl start saying that older guys
shouldn't be still playing video games.. (I'd like to see a girl say that to
John Carmack). I can go on and on but rather not >:) For looks.., petite,
not too tall, not too short.., (this reminds me of something you'd see in a
newspaper btw), color of hair, doesn't matter, color of eyes.. doesn't
matter, it's really what's in the heart, because all of this will age in
time (unless they're immortal, in any cases is impossible), but it's an
awesome bonus. :)
[Ghandi]:
Anyone with a great sense of humor.
[Ivy
Girl]: I want a guy who is
very masculine but isn't afraid to show his sensitive side. A man that can
look into my eyes and know what I am thinking. A man that will hold me in
his arms and tell me everything is gonna be alright and not harp on what I
am upset about till I am ready to share.. I like a guy who has a great sense
of humor and who also knows how to romance a female. I love arms... But I
think eyes are very important. Considering I want to look into them and get
lost in them forever.
[Killcreek]:
I look for a variety of characteristics in guys, there really is no certain
type I go for. My list of required attributes would absolutely include
intelligence, a great sense of humor, and self-confidence. I like a guy who
is very open-minded, confident, a risk taker, and most of all fun. :) I also
admire loyalty, a sense of purpose, and a strong work ethic. Most of all I
want to be with someone who enjoys every bit of life, despite their current
situation. A guy who can make every day fun, even through the tough times,
is worth keeping! :)
[Knife]:
Without sounding too cliche, someone who is intelligent and outgoing. The
perfect woman would be creative and have strong interests, such as art,
music, computer programming. And most importantly, a great sense of
humor. Looks? I'm a sucker for tall brunettes.
[Lockup]:
Well, if I was looking, okay, maybe it is time I started looking, nah!
Actually, I could careless about the looks and more about the individual
themselves. There is no question you have to be attracted to each other, but
attraction goes much deeper than looks, at least for me. Personality: open,
honest, intelligent, a sense-of-humor and playfulness, the ability to listen
and communicate, and to put their male ego on hold when needed.
:)
[TheShadow]:
Friendly, humorous, selfless, creative in relationships.
[Wanker]: Personality wise, I'm looking for a romantic, intelligent, artistic,
down to earth girl - so far as looks goes, being in shape is a plus but
that's about it. =) (attractive is a given)
[Wemmick]:
Yikes... that's a lot of question right there. Briefly: Sense of
humor, self-confidence, independence, drive, and sense of humor. As
far as looks go... well I try not to be too picky, but I'm a sucker for a
nice pair of blue eyes.
